Be More Chill
Recently I borrowed a book from a friend. It was called Be More Chill by Ned Vizzini. It's about Jeremy Heere, your average guy from high school with nothing special about him. He watches the Cool kids from afar and desires to know what makes them special. Why are they Cool? Well, he gets to know what it's like to be Cool thanks to an unexpected ally. One of the Cool kids and a common tormentor of Jeremy, Rich, tells Jeremy how he became Cool. He ingested a special pill, containing a small supercomputer, called the Squip. It tells him how to gain what me most desires, and as with a good amount of teens, he wants to be Cool. With a little more information from Rich, Jeremy finds the dealer of the Squip who gets shipments straight from Japan. He buys a Squip and takes it with Mountain Dew (apparently that's what makes it work best). After an excruciating cycle of filtering through his memories, the Squip introduces itself to Jeremy. He goes through a process of making himself Cool, which involves new clothes, associating with some of the Cool girls, drugs, and getting a little action. But the one girl he really wants, Christine, seems not to care about him being Cool. So he has the Squip keep doing its thing in an attempt to gain her love.
Okay, that's enough of the plot for you guys. You gotta get the book and read it. I really love this book. I personally connected with Jeremy, just because I'm the guy who is never really noticed at times and just sits around, checking out girls, and wanting one girl. I knew how he felt. Though I would of figured out how to work the Squip to my purposes a lot quicker. I probably would've owned people at chess just for the fun. But anyways, it was a great story, funny, not afraid to touch more unsaid topics like masturbation, drugs, etc. The major thing I liked about it, the author of the book put a note in the back of the book saying to google Squip. He made tons of sites about it online, but unfortunately they are gone now. Just doing that was hilarious. All around an interesting book and the end is great though, a bit painful. I really suggest getting it.

Yay another blog :D
Well I'm effin bored so I decided to create another blog. It may seem redundant considering the array I already have but this is a different purpose in some ways. There's my blog on tumblr which is at wordsmithmalachow.tumblr.com which is my serious blog where book posts go, music announcements are posted, and that general seriousness. Then there is my twitter account which is just nonsense bull crap that I decided needed to be posted to the seventy something followers I have. This one is a kinda serious kinda not blog. I will post interesting stuff I find online here, I'll get some neat little book reviews going, all in the name of my teenage mind's workings. Just wait until I get books and stuff to review. I don't feel like reviewing all the books I've read because catching up would be heck and a half. But I'll post some past stuff for now until my mother takes me to Barnes and Nobles (or as I may sometimes reference it, the Noble Barn :D) and I get more books. I'll will also post some little nonsense events in my life just to make sure my reader's (that's you :D) get to know me a little better. Thanks for reading this boring introduction post anyways. Later.
